Opinion: Go back to traditional crockery

Recently on the website, I posted a feature about the widespread trend that allows restaurants to serve food on surfaces that are not plates. Wooden boards, flat caps, slates, buckets and the most outrageous of all, a dog bowl.

 

I have examined this trend in my head over and over and I have come up with probable excuses that these restaurants might have for accepting this sickening but hilarious trend.

In a recent attempt to clampdown on the obesity crisis in the UK, the British Medical Association has proposed that a 20 percent tax on sugary drinks should be introduced.

 

This move aims at scaring off consumers from drinks that contain high sugar contents and calories that are damaging to the health.

The city of Brighton is home to two of UK's reputable universities. One of them is the University of Sussex, an institution with students from 120 countries in the world.

 

The students make up for a percentage of foreigners' population in Brighton.
